This week’s been a great week for bargain finds. While we were away at Chessington my mum took over the bargain hunter crown. She sent me a message saying she had found 22 packs of nappies for £33 in the clearance section in Boots.

This week I have been squirrelling away packs of wet wipes that have been on offer in Tesco. Although the offer has now come to an end, it was on for around 2 weeks so I took full advantage. The packs are normally £1.39 a pack but were on offer for just 50p a pack. Bargain central!

For any bargain hunter, yellow sticker items are a staple as they are a great way of stocking up a freezer for a fraction of the cost. It all sounds straight forward visiting the supermarket and seeing what yellow stickers you can find, but it is far from it. Its competitive, stressful and sometimes disappointing, but when you get it…

Anything that was too good to take down the tip I put to one side and everything else made its way down to the local tip.

This week the mass spring clean has been continuing. It really is crazy the amount of stuff you find that needs throwing out once you start. I have 7 bin bags of stuff to go down to the tip from the kitchen and hall and I am looking at it like ‘where on earth was all that hiding?’ I have been ruthless, but with the new baby arrival getting nearer I needed to stream line and improve storage.

I have used this spring clean to take advantage of making a bit of extra cash on the side by selling any furniture that is no longer needed. I have been using selling apps such as Gumtree and my new favourite Sphock.
