Historic Newspapers Customer Reviews

Original newspapers, what a great idea

My boyfriend is turning 40 this year and I wanted to get him something really special to mark the occasion. As a side gift I also wanted to find a newspaper from his birth date that I could frame and give to him. This site gave me more than 10 options of national newspapers to choose from that offered original newspapers from his birth date. I couldn’t believe how easy it was. As he’s from Dublin, I decided on the Irish Times. I ordered it for £30. I couldn’t believe how easy it was. I got in delivered in a little presentation booklet. I got him lots of other things for this birthday, but this was by far his favourite pressie.

Fantastic gift service for history buffs

My husband is a really big war buff, so I decided that for this past Christmas I’d get him some newspapers from the Second World War which highlight great action and or progress in the war. I never dreamed I get the response I did. He loved them so much that he got them all framed and hung in his office. The prices here and the service, especially with the choice of so many different papers, is fantastic.

Historic gifts can help mark special occasions

One of my dearest friends turned 50 this year, and I wanted to do something really special for her. She’s always complained that her mother didn’t save enough from her childhood in terms of photos and newspaper clippings, so I thought she might get a kick out of a newspaper from the date of her birth. This site offers original newspapers from specific days, and I was able to get one from her birthday and from a Welsh paper (she’s half Welsh). When I presented it to her at her party, she was clearly really chuffed, and I was so pleased to make her happy. These are great gifts.

The perfect addition to my royal collection

I'm admittedly a royal watcher, and love collecting memorabilia from Princess Diana particularly. When I heard about this website I knew I had to order the paper from their wedding day, as well as the one from Kate's. It was quite easy to order them, all I had to do was choose a date and the paper I'd like. Wow, I was so pleased when they arrived, in perfect condition and ready for framing! I might order additional ones now, perhaps from when William and Harry were born. What a great idea!!
