I've stayed at Premier Inns over the years when I'm really on a budget and have always found them to be a good value, basic decently sized rooms, clean...essentially a place to sleep and not for the atmosphere. They usually run some good offers on their website as well. I had to attend some meetings in the City so I chose the Tower Hill location due to its proximity to my conference location (practically next door). Although my company was the one paying I was a bit shocked at £169/night for a Premier Inn! The hotel was fine, but in my mind I could have stayed somewhere nicer for the cost.
