My mum loved her personalised gift from Thorntons!

It was my mum's birthday recently and I couldn't make it back home to be there. I wanted to send something to arrive on the day that I knew she would really love. What better than chocolate!

Thornton's was my first stop because I'd seen it advertised that some of the gifts were able to be personalised. There were lots to choose from including chocolate figures of bears, monkeys and even cars! I settled on a box of Alphabet Truffles. Thorntons piped my own personal message to mum on 33 gorgeous individual chocolates. Because of the way the ordering process works I got to see how the box would look and chose the way my message was laid out. Perfect!

My mum was so pleased with her present. Usually a box of chocolates is far from personal, but Thornton's changed that! With quick delivery and a wide selection of products to choose from, I'll be happy to go back!

Thorntons made my Valentine say yes

My friends said it was naff, but I proposed with a box of Thorntons chocolates on Valentine's Day. My girlfriend (fiance!) said she would rather skip a big Valentine's dinner out, so we planned a cosy night at my flat instead. I'd been planning a big proposal and a fancy restaurant, so obviously my plans changed and suddenly I had the idea of placing the ring in a chocolates box. Thorntons has been my favourite forever, so I went on their site and even better, they had personalised boxes where you could put a photo on them. I took a picture of myself holding a sign that said "Marry me, Rebecca" and uploaded it on the site. I could even choose her favourite chocs and the box's colour. I have to admit I was quite nervous if it didn't turn out properly, but it arrived with plenty of time and the box was gorgeous. I was shaking when I gave her the box, but you should have seen her face! Best moment of my life. Thank you Thorntons - I can't say enough about the chocolates box and we'll be keeping it for life!

A chocolate haven for present buying!

Thorntons is an absolute classic gift destination from my childhood. When I was at school the dream was for your schoolmates to get you the personalised monkey with the banana in its hand and even now, years later, a box of Continental is still a standard present for mum or aunties. Having shopped in-store for years, last year I finally made the leap online and started ordering my gifts instead. I think the selection of codes and deals that Thorntons do, which are always pretty regular, make any purchase I make pretty great value for money as I usually get some sort of discount or (much preferred) free gift with the code.
