I ordered my bike from Evans Cycles and it just arrived today. I was so pleased when my new ride arrived, it's almost like Christmas morning as a child! They had a really great selection on the website of women's bikes and I felt quite spoilt for choice in my price range. It was nice that I could narrow the options down by ticking boxes for wheel size, price and brand. Eventually I selected a pink and white Scott mountain bike.

The delivery was free, which surprised me, and the bike arrived quickly. I saw they have a ship to store option, but I'm not quite sure why you'd want to drag a bulky bicycle home with you from the shop, unless of course you're ordering something smaller like bike clothing or helmets.

I’m German and I’m raising twin boys here in England with my husband. We really wanted to get the German-style balance bikes for our sons, and I’ve trouble finding good quality, wooden ones at a decent price. Well, until now that is. This website has a great selection and a variety of different balance bikes or “runners”. I ordered two last week, and my boys are already racing around the drive on them. I went for a pure road bike but soon found that I would be going in just as many places that would be classed off road so I thought that I should politely ask for another model instead of the £600 GT GTR road bike that was excellent for the tarmac and had been reduced by £200.

The exchange was done with no quibble and I asked for a Saracen Zen 2 which was the same price but had been reduced from just under £1000. I am very happy with my new bike and I have been using it more than I ever thought I would. I have even bought my girlfriend a bike from evanscycles.com and she had started coming out with me although we are just sticking to the road for now instead of heading for the hills until she can keep up with me a little better.
I have really had my eyes opened thanks to Evans Cycles and I am very grateful for their buyer’s guides on the website. I’m also grateful for them offering low cost bikes as well as the bike aimed at the more competent as this allowed me to ease my girlfriend in to the activity without having to pressure her with a big purchase.

I thoroughly recommend this website to anyone who has a remote interest in the cycling world or they know someone that has an interest. I for one will be visiting the site over and over again. I also like the ‘Ride to Work’ initiative that I had no idea existed but is a great idea and one that I have been singing the praises of in work.
