My mum and dad's ruby anniversary was last weekend and I had no idea what to buy them. This is a gift idea I've used before, and it went over so well last time that I thought I'd buy a voucher for my son and his wife this Christmas. You just go on the site and order the voucher, it really is a snap to sort it, then your recipient can choose where they want to stay! They have hotels around the world so it's great for someone going on holiday, even if they want a more pricey hotel, they can use the voucher toward it. I love this idea because it's not locking someone into a property where they may not enjoy staying - it makes the burden loads lighter on the person giving it. Earlier this year I bought one for my brother and sister in law and they were well chuffed with their stay in Italy.

Cheaper to book direct with the hotels themselves. This company must just pocket the money paid by well meaning friends and family. I was very disappointed when I came to book - you have to book through their site and all the prices are marked up on the hotels actual tariffs for the same rooms on the same nights!
