Play-and-Stay Customer Reviews

Ready for our half term break!

We were looking to book a family break over half term and heard some good things about Play and Stay from friends, so I went on their site to see what they were about. Straight away I was pleased that they had an image promoting half term breaks, so I knew I'd be able to find something great. They had loads of options and I enjoyed looking at all of the information, which was well organised. We opted for the Alton Towers Scare fest, and leave today. I'm really excited that we were able to get such a great deal for the family including the park tickets and hotel, and the kids are revved up and ready to go. Thanks to Play and Stay for making it so easy to please my family.

Shopping Tips for Play-and-Stay

Offers and deals for you

Kids go free

If you’re put off the idea of mini breaks because you’re not sure you can afford to take all the kids with you, keep an eye out for Play and Stay’s kids go free offers. These discounted deals are fairly frequent and crop up for all sorts of popular family-friendly attractions, from Legoland Windsor Resort to Warwick Castle. In order to take advantage of the free kids’ places, you usually need to travel on certain dates. But if you’re flexible or these dates coincide with your holiday plans already, this offer can make you some massive savings.

Second day free

Extend your holiday at no extra cost by snapping up one of Play and Stay’s second day free offers. To take advantage of this deal, you usually need to stay at one of the selected hotels and the second free day must be used consecutively. This offer not only includes a free night at the hotel, but also covers the cost of entry to the theme park, potentially making you some massive savings.

Free cancellation

If you have a change of mind or find a better offer elsewhere, you’ll be glad to know that you can cancel your booking free of charge and get a full refund. To get all your money back, you need to cancel your booking before 8pm on the same day you made it by giving the Play and Stay team a call.

Extra money saving tips

Sign up for the newsletter

Want to be the very first to know when there’s a new theme park holiday offer up for grabs? Then make sure you sign up for the Play and Stay newsletter. When you subscribe, you’ll receive regular emails from the short break organiser with kids go free offers, price reductions, second day free deals and new holiday promotions. If you get fed up of the frequent emails, you can cancel your subscription whenever you like by clicking on the ‘unsubscribe’ link found in every Play and Stay email.

Stay at an offsite hotel

One of the easiest ways of saving money with a theme park mini break is to stay at a hotel close to the theme park – not one inside the theme park. Theme park hotels are notoriously expensive, although they do come with loads of extra benefits, such as direct access to the park and sometimes exclusive early entry. However, if your goal is to save money and you have access to a car, you’ll be much better off staying at a cheap chain hotel (such as Holiday Inn) 20-40 miles away from the theme park.

Pay with a debit card

Play and Stay charges you an extra fee if you pay for your booking with a credit card. With this in mind, you can make your money stretch further by ensuring you have enough money in your bank account to cover the payment and pay for your mini break with a debit card.
