Halfords Customer Reviews
After my old Sat Nav packed up I wasn’t in any rush to buy a new one as to be honest I wasn’t that impressed with the one I’d had. I only picked up this one because I was intending to spend some time visiting family now that I am retired and they are spread all over the country.
Firstly I thought about going to a shop to pick something up but then I thought that I should read some reviews first so that I would have a good idea about what I wanted. I had read reviews about the Nuvi 1410 but I had considered it a bit pricey at a penny under £300rrp.
I was amazed then that I found out that Halfords were doing the model with a saving of £180 which is what sealed the deal for me. I had the option of having a free delivery but I wanted to take Halfords up on the offer of free fitting and a demonstration. Something I thought was good was the price online that you pay is the same if you go to the store and pick it up and have the free installation services and everything else that comes with it. This price guarantee even applies if the item you buy is more expensive in the shop that installs it for you as it was with my Sat Nav.
After completing the transaction online through Halfords.com I took my car to my local store the next day and I picked up my Nuvi 1410 and it is a real improvement on the first model I had and I now use it much more often than I expected as it warns me about temporary speed cameras and lots of other things.
While driving from Kidderminster to Cornwall I used the Sat Nav to point out points of interest as the wife and I had decided to make each trip a bit of a short break now that we have time on our hands. What is good about this particular model is that it has a large screen which I think is five inches and it can act as a hands free kit for my mobile which my older Sat Nav didn’t do.
The improvement is so much better that I’m sorry I didn’t make the purchase earlier. You even get a detailed look at the lanes and which you should be in rather than just the road and which way you should be going. So as you can imagine I’m very happy with Halfords.com and my new toy and I’m sure I would recommend it to anyone looking to upgrade especially if the price stays the same.
This is exactly what I like to see on a website – all the offers displayed at the top of the homepage. Perfect! The site looks just like the store front – orange and rugged. You know you’re entering a man’s shop here. I tend to check Halfords online now for all my camping, biking and accessory needs. I just got a brand new mountain bike for under £200, which I thought was a great deal. My wife and I decided to take the kids camping this summer, but our old camping gear is falling apart, and our two-man tent wouldn’t accommodate the kids. So I logged onto Halfords and found a great deal on the Halfords Family 4 Man Tent Pack. It comes with air mattresses, a large tent and sleeping bags, and I got it all for just under £100. I did have to pay a bit for shipping, because the box was a bit big, but it was a whole lot easier than trying to park on the outskirts of town, walking to the shop and dragging the box back with me to the car park. It was definitely worth the money.
Whenever I have a car problem I stop into Halfords and they can sort it - whether I'm out of screen wash or I need to replace the spark plugs. I enjoy shopping on their website for those little things that I don't need to ask a salesperson about, and actually just ordered a bike for my daughter's birthday as well as a helmet and bike basket. Everything was really reasonably priced and easy to locate on the site, plus I don't have to figure out how to transport a bulky bike back home in our small car.
