Nice products but quite a small selection was my gift source when my sister’s first child was born last week. I was so excited to become an auntie and wanted to buy him a gift for my weekend visit. As luck would have it on the Baby City homepage there was a large image of a beautiful blue crib scene promoting gifts for baby boys. I clicked on the picture which took me to a whole section of baby boy gifts. They were quite lovely, most with blue teddy bears. The only downside of the gifts section was that they were all gift baskets, and I was hoping to find some a la carte items to put together into my own special gift.

I decided to try clicking on “new baby gifts” instead which took me to an area with a selection of items including silver-plated, personalised gifts, etc. but nothing struck my fancy and there were only 4 or 5 to choose from in each category. Instead I wound up choosing a range of stuffed toys (a monkey, octopus, cow, musical Peter Rabbit) along with a lovely organic bodysuit. When I searched through newborn clothing I noticed the selection was quite small (only 10 items) which surprised me. It wasn’t an issue since I found some nice items, but I would have liked a better selection.

Starting all over down the baby route -- in style

I thought my baby making days were behind me, so I got rid of all of my old baby furnishings and decorations. Then I got divorced and remarried, and guess what, I need it all again. I was so pleased to find this site. The nursery furnishings section inspired me to get off my bum and get cracking on the nursery. I fell in love with the Zanzibar safari line, and I’ve used the design as the motif in our nursery. I’m so excited now about having this baby, and I also feel ready. Thanks Babycity.
