When I was looking online for home building and contents insurance quotes I found that although Saga weren't quite the cheapest, they weren't far off. I searched for quotes for several different types of insurance and Saga were always one of the lowest prices. I have claimed once on my buildings insurance and when I called to claim the staff could not have been more efficient or helpful. They were extremely polite, helped me to be on the phone for as little time as possible and sorted my claim so that it didn't interfere with my day-to-day life as these things so often can. Although the premium obviously went up after I made a claim and it was quite an increase, I'm still extremely happy to pay it if I don't have to worry about who will pick up the phone at the other end and if they'll be happy to help me. Having a dedicated claims handler definitely helped because it minimised the amount of people I had to speak to each time and made the experience much more straight forward. Great customer care, they answered all my questions patiently and I would thoroughly recommend them.
